Herkimer County is developing a formal trailhead at the Acme Road entrance to the Empire State Trail, featuring designated parking, bicycle parking and a repair station, a pedestrian sidewalk connection, lighting, and wayfinding signage. This project will improve safety, eliminate roadside parking, and enhance access for pedestrians and bicyclists.
